Captivating aromas of dried fig and cassis are lifted by herbaceous notes of menthol, bay leaf and tobacco. On the palate, the wine is powerful and firm in texture, with juicy dark fruit flavors that gradually build to a more earth-driven expression of black olive, fennel and licorice root. Densely packed tannins slowly fill out the palate to a savory, long-lasting finish.

Our 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from the three most exceptional blocks within our Blue Mountain Estate Vineyard in Walla Walla. Cooler conditions throughout the growing season extended harvest well into November, with our Cabernet grapes achieving concentrated fruit flavors, intense color and fully developed phenolics. Gentle handling through fermentation, followed by an extended time on skins, produced a deeply structured and expressive wine, worthy of its 24-month extended bottle maturation prior to release.
